Johanna Richards is an enthusiastic and results–driven Attorney–at–Law with a strong academic
background and versatile legal experience across both public and private practice. She holds a
Master of Laws in Corporate & Commercial Law and Public Law (UWI, 2025), a Legal Education
Certificate from the Hugh Wooding Law School (2022) (Principal’s Roll of Honour), and Bachelor of
Laws with Honours (UWI, 2020). Johanna has developed proficiency in a wide range of legal areas
including judicial review, civil and criminal litigation, family law, contract law, immigration,
conveyancing, probate, insurance and company law. Her professional journey includes roles at
Alexander Jeremie and Company, Allum Chambers, Johnson Camacho and Singh, Sovereign
Chambers and other prominent legal institutions, as well as prosecutorial experience at the Office of
the Director of Public Prosecutions.

At Sovereign Chambers, Johanna currently focuses on judicial review, civil and criminal litigation,
conveyancing, probate, immigration law, insurance, contract law, family law, and company law. She
is actively involved in contentious and non–contentious matters and routinely drafts pre–action
protocol letters, pleadings, and legal opinions. While serving as an Associate at Johnson, Camacho
& Singh, she worked extensively in property and conveyancing law, preparing agreements for sale
mortgages, discharges, deeds of assignment, and powers of attorney. She also engaged in civil
litigation and estate matters, including probate, administration of estates, and the resealing of grants.
Her role required in–depth legal research in adverse possession, breach of contract, fraud, and unjust
enrichment and she often did tort and contract law matters and drafted opinions on liability and
quantum.

Johanna demonstrates excellence in drafting legal documents, preparing litigation strategies,
conducting in–depth legal research, and advocating on behalf of clients. Johanna is fluent in Spanish
and holds additional qualifications. in forensic psychology, which complement her legal practice.
Beyond the courtroom, she is a dedicated community leader and cultural ambassador with a strong
presence in national and international music arenas.
